Yes, Google is aware of this glitch and is working on fixing it.
Please be reassured (including me, seating at the edge of my seat though! As if this was easy):
It looks like Google is aware of the issue—it’s a widespread problem affecting businesses globally, just like Google My Profile’s getting suspending, particularly newly created ones and immediately after it is created and verified. If you’ve lost reviews, you’re likely impacted. Here’s what Google recommend:
- Stay updated – Follow Google’s social media or community forums for news.
- Give it time – If Google announces a fix, wait about a week to see if your reviews are restored.
- If your reviews don’t come back:
- Contact Google Support.
- If support doesn’t resolve it, post on the forum and ask an expert to escalate your case.
They’re compiling a list of affected businesses. If your reviews are still missing after the global fix, you can provide your Profile ID, company link, and the number of missing reviews, and they’ll look into it individually.
If you haven’t reached out to support yet, here’s how:
- Go to Google Support
- Select your Business Profile
- Type “Missing Reviews” under “Tell us what we can help with”
- Select “Reviews Missing” > Next Step > Next Step Again > Email
- Fill out the form and submit your issue
Hopefully, this helps anyone else in the same boat!
Don’t forget to keep your fingers’ crossed all this while.
